Updating the Object Schema (Magic xpi 4.7)

When you use the SAPB1 connector, the process of getting the updated object schema is executed automatically.

To let you work offline, the selected schema type is automatically updated according to the selected object. However, this automatic update does not take place if you have selected one of these operations in the SAPB1 Configuration dialog box:

  • Delete

  • Close

  • Cancel

In addition, the update occurs only if the schema does not already exist in the project folder. The actual update takes place when you click OK in the SAPB1 Configuration dialog box, and the updated XSD is saved in the project\<SAPB1 XXX>\<server name>_<database name> folder.
For example, project\SAPB1 2007\localhost_SBODemo_US.

When you are working with the SAPB1 connector, if the connection to SAP Business One is not valid and the schema does not exist under the connector’s folder, you receive an error message and the Data Mapper screen will not open.

You can update the currently selected object and schema type manually by clicking Refresh XSD in the SAPB1 Configuration dialog box. However, this button will be available only if the schema already exists, and if you did not select one of these operations:

  • Delete

  • Close

  • Cancel

When you click Refresh XSD, the current schema is overwritten. A message dialog opens, and clicking OK confirms the update and the overwrite. Clicking Cancel exits the process without updating the schema.

When you click OK, Magic xpi connects to SAPB1 through the Data Interface (DI), and brings the updated XSD file to the following directory:

<server name> – <database name>
