MSSQL (Magic xpi 4.6)
If you select MSSQL, the Database Support screen opens.

Prior to installing Magic xpi, make sure that you select SQL Server and Windows Authentication mode (in the MSSQL Server Properties dialog box's Security section) if you want to automatically create an MSSQL internal database during the installation process.

If the database server is located on the same computer where you are installing Magic xpi, you should leave the server's Name field in its default state. The default state is <machine name>\SQL instance (if any).
If you want to work with a remote database server, click Select to open the Server List. From the Server List, select the name of the computer where the database server is located, and click Select to close the Server List.
To authenticate your database using your SQL Server credentials, leave the Windows authentication check box clear and then enter the user name and password for your database. You must ensure that your user credentials give you sufficient privileges to create the user and the database. To use your Windows credentials to authenticate your database, select the Windows authentication check box.
If your internal database uses the Windows Authentication mode, you need to manually configure the database. For more information, click here.
If you need to use the Windows Authentication mode and the GigaSpaces infrastructure is configured to use the 64-bit JVM, you need to change the names of two files (located at <Magic xpi installation>\Runtime) as follows:

Append the text _32bit to the name of the sqljdbc_auth.dll file. The new name should be sqljdbc_auth.dll_32bit.

Remove the text _64bit from the sqljdbc_auth.dll_64bit file. The new name should be sqljdbc_auth.dll.

When selecting to install the database later, all the required logical names for this database will be available in the Magic.ini file but some will be commented with a semicolon.
For example, in Oracle if only the DB_SERVER_NAME was missing, the Magic.ini would include:

Click Next to proceed to the Summary screen.
