JD Edwards World Resource (Magic xpi 4.7)

JD Edwards World resources contain the following parameters (parameters in bold are mandatory):

Parameter

Description

Server Address

The JD Edwards World server address.

You can either enter the server address, or click to open the Environment Variables List. Here, you can select an environment variable to use as a server address.

User

Your JD Edwards World user name.

You can either enter the user name, or click to open the Environment Variables List. Here, you can select an environment variable to use as a user name.

Password

Your JD Edwards World password.

You can either enter the password, or click to open the Environment Variables List. Here, you can select an environment variable to use as a password.

A password entered as an environment variable is masked by asterisks.

Database (Resource)

The database resource that you want to use in conjunction with your JD Edwards World resource. Select the required database resource from the drop-down list.

Before creating a JD Edwards World resource, you first need to create a DB2/400 database resource. For more information on configuring database resources, click here.

Database Library

The database libraries that you selected to use in your JD Edwards World resource.

JD Edwards World resources also give you the following buttons:

Button

Description

Validate

Click this button to verify that the connection to the JD Edwards World server is valid. You will receive a message indicating that the connection is established, or an error message if the connection failed.

You must also verify that the connection to the DB2/400 database is valid before you can use the JD Edwards World connector.

Configure

This button opens the JD Edwards World Metadata Maintenance dialog box. Here, you can view and edit the JDEMetadata.xml file. This file contains modules and operations that are used later on when you configure the JD Edwards World connector.

Libraries

Click this button to select the libraries that you want to use in your JD Edwards World resource.
